Discover Del Mar

High-end luxury and old-world charm.

Since the legendary days of Hollywood’s golden years, Del Mar has been the destination of choice for many a movie star as well as those with a taste for fast horses, beautiful beaches and award-winning cuisine.

Del Mar, California, is a place where the beauty of the coastline meets a lifestyle that’s all about enjoying the finer things in life without losing that laid-back, coastal charm. Let me tell you why I fell in love with this town, traded in my expansive floor plan for a modest home with incredible ocean views, and what makes Del Mar such a special place to call home.

Ocean Views and Beach Days

One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was moving to Del Mar and embracing the ocean views that are a daily reminder of how lucky I am to live here. Every morning, I wake up to the sight of the Pacific, and it’s a view that never gets old. The beaches here are truly something special. Del Mar City Beach is my go-to spot—it’s perfect for a peaceful morning run, a relaxing day in the sun, or a stroll at sunset.

But there’s more to the beach than just relaxation. Every week, I play volleyball on Del Mar Beach, and it’s become my version of going to church. There’s something almost spiritual about being out there with friends, the sand between your toes, the ocean steps away, and the sun shining down. It’s my way of recharging and connecting with the place I love.

Dining with a View

Del Mar’s dining scene is one of the things I love most about living here. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a great meal with the ocean as your backdrop. One of my favorite spots is Jake’s Del Mar. With fresh seafood, creative cocktails, and an unbeatable view, it’s the perfect place to unwind after a day at the beach. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just looking for a place to relax, Jake’s never disappoints.

For a more laid-back meal, Del Mar Pizza is where I go. It’s the kind of place where you can walk in straight from the beach, grab a slice, and feel right at home. Their pizzas are a local favorite, and it’s easy to see why.

The Heart of the Community

Del Mar has this unique blend of luxury and small-town charm that makes it stand out. The Del Mar Village is the heart of the community, with its boutique shops, cafes, and restaurants that cater to both locals and visitors. I love spending time here, whether I’m enjoying a coffee, browsing the shops, or just soaking in the friendly, relaxed atmosphere. There’s a real sense of community in Del Mar, and it’s one of the things that makes this place feel like more than just a town—it feels like home.

Excitement and Tradition at the Del Mar Racetrack

If you’re ever in Del Mar during the racing season, you must experience the Del Mar Racetrack. There’s a unique energy here, and the setting is incredible—where else can you watch horse racing with the ocean in the background? It’s one of those quintessential Del Mar experiences you can’t miss, whether you’re a seasoned fan or just looking for a fun day out.

Making Del Mar Your Home

When I decided to move to Del Mar, I wasn’t just looking for a house—I was looking for a lifestyle. And that’s exactly what I found. The real estate here is as diverse as it is desirable, from charming bungalows to luxurious estates, all offering their own slice of coastal paradise. Whether it’s the ocean views, the vibrant community, or the relaxed yet sophisticated vibe, Del Mar has something for everyone.
